If it breaks it can't be fixed... (seriously, a few years back they opened a dealer in our area and a lot of people bought bigger, half priced tractor, They were clumsy to operate, had a tremendous breakdown rate, even as new, and you simply could not get parts...Every one got rid of them as fast as they could at whatever they could get.. hopefully there were enuff that you can find the parts you'll need...KL, CW Spook - Posted - 03/02/2009:  14:53:40. Thanks! I bought myself a Belarus tractor last Friday at what I thought was a bargain, it's a 250 AS/30hp deisel with 308 hours on it. I've had my 250 for about ten years and never have needed parts. Never messed with one...(I'm a Ford fan in a JD world)...but I always got a kick out of the slogan; "If you're into self abuse, get yourself a Belarus. They sold a bunch of them all over the mid-west and south so I wouldn't think parts would be a problem.

The Fleck family named their daughter and their son after their tractors.Joan Deere married a real nice fellow, and her kids are well-mannered and smart..Bela Rus took up banjo, and was doing OK, last I heard. I can't find a year anywhere on it but i would guess early 80's or late 70's.
