And there's so so SO much you could talk about with a storytime group! I like that it does different senses (taste, see, hear, smell) for each location (seashore, farm, city, forest) that the train visits. My son picks this book to read several times a day, he’s 22 months! Sounds are great for children. Text is large block face. This book is easy to read and easy to follow along. After the story we did "2 Little Blackbirds" to celebrate the birds in the book. Lots of fun at storytime if you do all the sounds. The rhythm and rhyme of this book is just about perfect.
