But on one weekend in May in Manistee, at dawn and again at noon, there are spectacular sights of a different variety to be witnessed. In the City of Manistee, over 130 acres of Lake Michigan sandy beachfront parks straddle the banks of the Manistee River Channel. The lower section from the weir down is gentler, not as fast or technical, and appropriate for paddlers and tubers with some experience. Recommended for all ages and skill levels looking for an exciting adventure. Trips ending at other locations requiring boat pick up will be charged an additional $30 per group for groups renting 3 or fewer boats.
