This is a piece of crap cable. I had previously ordered a pack and they were great - until I lost them all. They are a nice braided cable and the connections feel tight and secure.
You can still see all customer reviews for the product. But the colors on the monitor display changed from time to time. I purchased these on Prime Day and they fell solid and should work for me for a long time to come.
I made the right choice. The micro-usb side is strongly seated into the connector and is quite resistant to bending, which is another common failure (the micro-usb plug snapping off where it enters the connector) in other cables I have.
I was not going to damage my PC. No issues, the VGA cable does what it should.
I wanted to see if the vendors were telling the truth. These are pretty standard micro USB cables and I thought these were just about some of the best I owned until some time afterward.

I had previously ordered a pack and they were great - until I lost them all. Cheap cables use skinny wire to save money. Fitted it to an inherited desktop that came without a VGA cable and attached to my (now) shared monitor.
And I tried to see if they could connect. Not much one can say about USB cables, but I really like these. Very diappointed customer!

These cables work great and enable the 'fast charge' function for Samsung phones. Disabling it will result in some disabled or missing features. My cable recently started smoking while I was driving my car. These have a basic non-fancy look, but feel strong and well built. Thanks for a great VGA cable!
Several people told me I needed to buy a new monitor but I figured I would try replacing the cord first since the cord is so inexpensive. I put on the old shorter cord and the image was clear so something is wrong with the cable.
The strain relief where the cable enters the connector housing is a nice design element, does not allow the cable to bend too sharply and protects against this common failure point on other cables I have.
