Nice to have quality seafood in Nashville! One of Germantown’s best restaurants. Seafood-Focused Restaurant & Bar. High recommend!! Service was off the mark by quite a bit! Beautiful meal!! We are still speaking reverently of the flounder and mussels frites.
Food was good but seriously overpriced! Even stopped bye to make sure everything was going well since it was my Daughters birthday.
I had been following The Optimist - Nashville since they opened and was excited for months and months to get a chance to try to it (central Illinois just doesn’t have the same great dining experiences as Nashville). Our server, Brian, took wonderful care of my family & I. I’m already craving those oysters and so looking forward to coming back.

The interior looks and feels like an upgraded New England eatery. Our waiter was great with oyster recommendations and the manager even treated us to dessert as it was my birthday that evening. All 6 of us enjoyed our meals. The restaurant had been recommended by our son. I actually loved this restaurant and experience. Community See All. Flounder. It's where you'll find some of the best oysters in the city, and with a full cocktail and dessert wine menu, there's something to sip throughout the entire meal.

The food was outstanding. Such a great ambiance, food, but even better service. Brian was a very thorough server.
