School-wide, Multi-level Prevention System MTSS is a total school improvement framework. MTSS is a framework to integrate all (Academic, Behavior, Social-Emotional) of the instruction, supports and student-centered data to increase the impact of instruction and supports on student growth.
MTSS facilitates the integration of multiple school improvement efforts and represents an effective strategy to: Improve outcomes for all students, including high-performing students, English language learners, students receiving special education services, and those struggling with barriers to learning. Elliott continues to assist districts, national organizations, state departments of education in their efforts to update and realign curriculum frameworks, instruction, and assessment, and accountability that include all students. Go âback to basicsâ by (a) focusing on a small number of evidence-based and culturally relevant practices, across social, emotional, behavioral, and academic domains, that have an equitable and big impact and (b) doing them well.
